Generosity Campaign 2025

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!

Our theme for this year’s generosity campaign is “GIVING GENEROUSLY THROUGH GOD’S GRACE”.  This is the time you make a financial pledge recognizing your responsibility as stewards of St. Laurence and all it stands for. That term, “generosity” implies something more than doing the minimum needed. It speaks to happy, abundant giving. This is a chance to give back some of the enormous gifts God gives to us. Of course, most of us are fearful of being too generous with this gift of Grace, only we call it prudence instead of fear. But God’s Grace is unlimited, so let your prudence/fear be overcome by Faith and keep our church thriving.

Yes, the church is thriving!! As we come out of the COVID years, old ministries are reviving, and new ones are springing up. Inner Wilderness, Book Club, Meditation, Woodchucks, Supper Club, Adult Forum, Sunday School, Kids in Service and more. But, you say, these ministries cost almost no money, and that, thanks to dedicated volunteers, is correct. But think of all these things as branches on a great tree. The trunk of that tree - the priest, the building, the staff – they do cost money. Without them, we would be leaderless, homeless, and mute. It is from that trunk other branches will begin to reach out in the next year.

So, it is a time for generosity. Your Generosity Campaign Ministry team would like you to spend some time in prayer and ask yourself what proportion of your financial resources - your treasure - is God calling you to give and how you will faithfully answer that call. We need to increase giving by 10% over last year to break even. But we can also aspire to greater goals!  Think growing our church and do even more good in our community.  To accomplish these ultimate goals requires prayer, introspection, and the knowledge that God’s grace makes everything possible.  It is equally important that all of us pledge something in recognition that we belong to a wonderful church and each of us is ready to return God’s generosity. To see some of the ways your time and talents can be helpful to St. Laurence, please refer to our giving page.

To make a 2025 Pledge Commitment to St. Laurence, simply fill out a pledge card and return it to us. If you need a pledge card sent to you, please call our office at 303-838-2457. If you have questions, please contact any of our Generosity Committee members: John Dewey and Dan Lincoln.

Thank you for your ongoing support of St. Laurence.

A Prayer for Generosity

Loving and Gracious God, together with our sisters and brothers in faith, we join in gratitude for the countless blessings You have given to us. Among those blessings is a church home which nurtures and supports our hope.  Strengthen that hope that we may give sacrificially of our time, talents, and treasure to our church, to sustain and expand Your ministries. Send the blessing of generosity upon each of us. Help us remain resilient through the recovery. Help us to love and care for one another.  In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
